  • Speak Up! Action Manual for Peer Leader Teams pdf

    The Speak Up! Action Manual for Peer Leader Teams is designed for any youth who want to:

    • Learn about self advocacy
    • Practice tools for making choices and decisions about their future
    • Find support and resources about subjects that interest them

    Youth peer leader teams can use the Speak Up! Manual to work with other youths. The Speak Up! Manual has:

    • Activities
    • Scenes/role plays
    • Resources
    • Discussion ideas

  • The Road To Work pdf
    The Road to Work is a booklet for youths on finding and keeping work. It includes five steps with activities, tips, and resources. You can use the Road to Work along with the Speak-Up Action Manual to practice speaking up as you head toward the work that you want to do.
  • My Way/No Way pdf
    This activity is an expanded from the brief one that you will find in the Speak Up Manual. It's a great activity to get to know one another when you are working with a group of youths
  • Peer Leader application word
    Many high schools recruit peer leader teams as part of the Occupational Course of Study. Some job clubs also recruit teams. Here is a sample application that you may want to use. You may make any changes you like.
  • Time Sheet word
    Peer leader teams often need a tool to keep track of how much time leaders participate. This time sheet may be helpful.
  • Sample letter to an administrator word
    If you are planning to start a peer leader team, you will want to let your administrator know. You will want to explain how it is helpful to students learning to speak up and why it is important. You can use this sample letter.
  • Press Release Sample word
    When you have created a peer leader team at your school, you may want to let others know about your success. You could use the school media, or local newsletters to get the word out. You can use this template. Just change it to include your own information.
