Speaking up through art
Crossroads
by Megan Jones
Having Just graduated
High school
Still breathing down my neck
My goal of a year
Reached, grasped being lived
So much behind me
So much more in front
At a crossroads
And a mystery
Hits me in the guts
A part of my life
I never knew
But wanted desperately to
I’d possibly litterally met face to face
Then lost
Into the chill night air
Making me question
Absolutely everything
Most of all
Should I have prisued?
Making me question
What the future holds
Can I do it?
Where do I go from here?
Crying into the night
Until gentle caressing hands
A wonderful strong heart
And a soft soothing voice
Sings me to sleep
Letting those questions
Slip into the night
